1. Let your hair grow out at least 1/4 inch which usually takes at least a good solid week - 7 days (this does not apply to facial waxing). It will ensure we get as much hair as possible. 
2. Gently exfoliate your skin before your appointment. Exfoliating gloves are great!
3. Worried about sensitivity? Go ahead and take a couple of Advil an hour before your appointment. However, it’s not as bad as you think.
4. DO NOT go to the tanning bed the day before, of, or after your appointment. You WILL burn or skin may lift if you tanned prior. This goes for natural sun tanning as well. Can't wax burned skin - not a good look!

AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

1. Tell your waxer the types of skin care you’re using, such as Retin A, Differin, antibiotics, any prescription medications for acne treatment, skin lightener’s, acids (glycolic, lactic, salicylic), etc.
2. Tell your waxer if you’ve ever had any problems with waxing in the past.
3. Tell your waxer if you’re shy or are more comfortable with certain positions. There are no right or wrong ways to do it, simply different techniques. If you are used to something in particular, please let us know. Your comfort level is very important.

AFTER YOUR WAX

1. Don’t expect skin to be perfectly normal post-wax. If you’re scheduled to make a public appearance, bring makeup to touch up the redness.
2. If you plan on sporting a swimsuit shortly after your wax, remember there may still be redness- and no sun tanning for at least a day afterwards and use high SPF sunscreen if you have to be in the sun.
3. Come back for your next wax in 4-6 weeks. Remember, however, 4-6 weeks is the recommended amount of time between waxes. It’s different for everyone. Discuss it with your waxer if you have questions about when to book that next appointment.
